What are the advantages of MOSFET over BJT?

MOSFET FOR:-

Mosfet provides a very good isolation between the gate and the other two terminals compared to bjt. MOSFET can handle more power compared to BJT. The mosfet has a very low power loss and a high speed. Voltage signals can easily operate a mosfet, so it is used in many digital circuits. there are many more benefits try a google and youtube search.

Mosfets are small, easy to make dense (of course because of all the advances in technology), consume little energy, operate at higher frequencies, reduce heat dissipation.

they are part of the digital industry, the majority of semiconductor companies depend on flash memory, srams and mosfets drams.

In today’s technologies, almost everything about MOSFET has an advantage over bipolar. there are only a few exceptions where the bipolar has an advantage over the mosfet. therefore, I will list the bipolar benefit instead.

Bipolar is best for:

  • the lowest noise
  • the driving ability with a higher current
  • the designs at the highest speed
  • the less important losses
  • the much lower harmonics and reduced noise
  • the square law device
  • a paste multiplier in the communication circuits
  • the reduced thermal noise
  • can be used as a variable resistor in the communication circuits
  • zero grid current
  • easy analysis

in bjt, a current As high as 1 / 10th of the collector current is required to keep the transistor in saturation state (on state) while a voltage dependent drive is required.

Mosfets have higher input impedance than bjts.

Paralleling the MOSFET is easier than that of the transistors to handle a high current, because the MOSFET has a positive coefficient of resistance, unlike the bjts. Bjts have a negative resistance temperature coefficient and therefore suffer from a thermal runaway where all the current is deflected in a single bjt when it is paralleled.

mosfet can switch at very high frequency compared to the transistor being a majority carrier device. Transistors used as (saturation) switches have a lower switching speed because of the time required to remove storage charges in the base region.

dude, we need mosfets, bjts and the celestial combination of the two devices called igbt (insulated gate bipolar transistor).

mosfet applications:

less significant switching losses, therefore appropriate for high frequency use.

no secondary failure

of easy parallel operations as its resistance increases as it distributes increased current and, consequently, increases the current offset to other devices.

when the voltage needs to be regulated.

while the bjts have opposite characteristics to those of the mosfets.

All have application-oriented uses. even after inventing the igbts, none of the objects or mosfets has become obsolete.

mosfet is a voltage controlled device while bjt is a controlled current device.

In order to increase efficiency, we are inventing new switching devices.

mosfet is more heat tolerant and can stimulate good resistance. Bosfet is used for power supplies and is effective. While bjt is used in low energy devices, such as LEDs.

bjt consumes more energy because it is a device controlled by the current, it is less effective than mosfet.parce a significant waste of current during switching leads to greater energy consumption and less efficiency of switching.

mosfet is efficient because its output depends on the input voltage and not the input current.

Mosfet has less risk of thermal runaway than bjt.The thermal runaway can be avoided by using heat sinks.
